Another year's flown by so I thought I could avoid my coursework further and reflect on it.
It was a year full of days out, travelling and generally feeling a little bit lost in life. The usual really.
It was also the year I realised that I don't have a lot of time to spare and therefore shouldn't waste it on things like sleeping in or lying around doing nothing. Kind of funny coming from the girl who used to sleep in until midday every weekend. I live by a new mantra now - "I'll sleep when I'm dead". It used to be my holiday mantra so I can see and do as much as I could. But now I've began applying it to my entire life in general. And I'm pretty sure my lack of sleep may contribute to a somewhat premature death...
I finally learnt to drive and now spend the best part of my day trying to remember where I parked my car and having my driving criticized by the men in my life. I would like to point out that so far I haven't killed anyone, therefore their criticism is completely unfounded.
Travel wise, it was a great year so I guess I ticked that off the old yearly to-do list. Half of September was spent road-tripping around Bulgaria, my homeland. We hired a car and went to all the places we hadn't been before. And in October I got to visit Dubai for some winter sunshine. It was amazing, I won't lie. I also spent most weekends this summer looking around castles and country parks, which is now my favourite thing to do on days I have nothing else do to. It's also a great way to move around more. Haven't quite become Kate Moss yet though.
Most importantly, 2015 was the year I learnt a lot about myself and began to feel more comfortable about who I am as a person. Isn't it amazing how good feeling slightly more comfortable in your own skin is? I still have a long way to go but slow progress is better than no progress.
I hope you had an amazing 2015!
