After a week of tropical weather and consuming my body weight in food, we set off to Washing DC where we planned to spend the last 2 days of our trip.
However, plans sometimes are met with difficulty, so due to unforeseen circumstances we ended up having just one full day and an evening. The evening was spent driving around the main attractions and a part of town called Alexandria, which was beyond beautiful and quirky.
During our full day we did a quick sweep of The Mall, George Washington's home and a Naval Museum. I spent a little too much time in Naval Museums, but every cloud has a silver lining, mine being that I never have to step foot in another Naval museum since I'm pretty sure I have seen them all. Here are the last of the photos I took, mostly on my iPhone. On a quick side note, at least I've upgraded to the iPhone 6 so hopefully my on the go photos will be a little better.
